Climbing Course in El Chorro

Our Climbing Course in El Chorro is intended for beginner or improving climbers who wish to perfect their technique in unique surroundings in southern Spain. Autumn, winter, and spring are the ideal seasons to visit and because of the multitude of crags we can always find a spot with perfect weather conditions for climbing. Only a short trip away from Málaga airport, and with a range of accommodation to suit all tastes and budgets, this is the perfect place for a quick holiday to escape the cold and rain of northern Europe.
El Chorro is a small town set high in Málaga’s stunningly beautiful “Lake district”, best known for El Caminito del Rey (the King’s Path), which ends here. Set in a spectacular Natural Park, of great geomorphological and environmental interest, the town is also epicentre to a massive climbing area of more than eleven hundred hectares, with over 1,000 climbing routes of all levels, many of which are along the length of the Gaitanes Gorge, a three kilometre long canyon cut out by the Guadalhorce River with steep walls up to 400 metres high.

The Via Ferrata is a fun-filled adventure, with a “Tibetan bridge”, a “Monkey bridge” and a zip line all adding to the fun and sense of excitement. At the end of the route you can also abseil/rappel.
